I work at the Open University (OU) which has a large campus in Milton Keynes. I have just finished my PhD and am waiting for my viva (an oral exam where I am asked lots of questions about my research). I am now employed by the OU as a research associate.
I’m a PhD student at the University of Leicester where I research space. I get paid every month as if I had a job anywhere else, but because I do research at a university some people prefer to say I study or that i’m a PhD student.
I work in a hospital and away in an office. Sometimes I stay at my desk to work on my computer. Sometimes in the operating theatres with surgeons, nurses and theatre practitioners. Some other times I go to clinical wards where patients are treated and looked after in their hospital beds and I help nurses and doctors to set up medical devices for them.
