Hello Skye! Lots of great questions. I started doing science in 2012 when I started a degree in ‘Natural Science: Earth Science’. I was in my late 20s! I was immediately hooked and went on to do a masters in Geoscience and then a PhD in Moon rocks. I am now still studying Moon rocks that NASA astronauts brought back from the Moon but I am getting paid for it ; -) They are lots of crystals in the rocks I study (known as minerals) and some of them are quite rare (one if called tranquillityite!). I hope you are interested in rocks from Earth and space and are thinking of becoming a scientist : -)
