I really like showing people how rockets work! You can do it by making a water rocket launcher, or, if you have the right equipment, you can even make a rocket at home using chemicals! All rockets work by throwing something out of the back of it, and I think it’s a really exciting to see it happen at home

My favourite experiment so far has been running climate models to show how the weather is on Mars today and how it was in the past and seeing how it has changed over time. It is so interesting to see where the water and ice and clouds used to be, compared to where they are today. To run a climate model, and then get the data from it and plot it up into graphs and pictures, and then try to understand it just takes my breath away sometimes. I think it is amazing what it can tell us.

Hi, I love looking firing lasers (charged atoms) at my rock section samples! The process causes minimal damage to the samples but it is powerful enough to release the elements that I want to measure: sulfur and chlorine! The instrument I use is massive so it is really fun getting it working 🙂

Splitting the light in different wavelengths of very distant galaxies and seeing them rotate as parts of them are more blue as they move towards us and others more red as they move away from us. It’s so cool to use Physics and something so simple to see how things move. Ah, and this is how we discovered the mysterious dark matter which makes up 80% of all matter in the Universe!
