Hello Dancer! I’ve always loved rocks and volcanoes but when I was at school I didn’t think there was a career available that I could do that would involve rocks! As it was I chose subjects to get into investment banking (which is quite different!). The reason I applied to be on ‘I’m a scientist’ was so that I could let young students know that there are rock science jobs/ geology jobs out there if you love finding out what planets are made of! So chose science as a way of keeping your options open! : -)

I lived science when I was young and wanted to work in it but I ended up doing a load of other stuff instead. Then I studied science again and realised I loved it best so that is what I do now. So it is never too late!

Yes, together with being an astronaut, a football player, a doctor and then a writer 🙂

It was one of them, it took me a long time to figure out what i wanted to be, but I always enjoyed science so eventually I decided that I should just keep doing that! I think it’s important to try lots of new things so you can make a good choice about what you want to do 🙂
