Hello Dancing potatoes! Fantastic name and great question! There is currently no evidence of life on Mars. They thought they found some a few years ago but unfortunately it wasn’t life after all. I’m sure that trained astronauts will go to Mars first, as they did with the Moon. That is a good way of ensuring that the journey is possible and safe. Every-day people going to Mars may not happen for a number of years (maybe not in my lifetime) but the great thing about science is that it is always changing and challenging boundaries so I’m sure that we will be visiting all of the planets in our Solar System in the future! Humans love exploring : -)

We haven’t found definite evidence of life yet but we are planning to send new rovers to look some more. Because Mars has a very thin atmosphere now the cosmic rays and radiation zap the surface and life would find it hard to survive. But underground there may be simple life, like bacteria, which is protected from the rays. Once the rovers arrive in a few years, we hope they start digging and then tell us what they find.

There might be life on Mars, we just need to look even better. It’s just too harsh to live and survive there though, so we would have to change the planet quite a lot before we would have a chance to survive there!

We haven’t foubnd any life on Mars, but we are always sending rovers and satellites to go and study to find life! It’ll be really hard to send people to Mars, there’s a lot of radiation there and some extreme temperatures. I think astronauts will be there long before other people can go to Mars
