• Question: is there a rock on the moon that exists on earth???

      Hello Nine! That’s a great question! In fact, one of the rocks I study that was brought back by NASA astronauts is called a basalt rock. We have lots of basalt rocks on Earth and they are erupted from volcanoes or mid-ocean ridges (under the seas/ oceans!). The difference between the basalt on the Moon and those on Earth is that there are more of each chemical elements in the Earth basalts! The Moon lost quite a few of its chemical elements when it formed from a giant collision with Earth!! : -)
