Hello jump, Mars is pretty cold! It is further away from the Sun than Earth. It can get down to -60 degree C (colder than the Antarctic on Earth!). : -)

Mars is much colder than Earth because it doesn’t have much atmosphere to keep the heat in. At the poles in winter it can get down to lower than -100C, while in the summer at certain places it can get as high as +20C. So that’s like a summer’s day but that is the highest temperature! So if we were there we would need space suits when we were outside, not just so we had air to breath but to keep us warm too. 😃

Mars is a cold planet! This is because it is further away from the sun that the Earth and it has a very thin atmosphere so it cannot hold in much heat. The average temperature is -60 degrees Celsius.
