• Question: have you ever found crystals in space if so how much?

      Hello Riley! That’s a clever question. Yes, there are lots and lots of crystals out in space. The ones that we know about are from places where we have samples from. The rocks that I study that were brought back from the Moon by NASA astronauts are full of beautiful crystals that are known as minerals. If you imagine a diamond, which has lots of pretty crystal faces, then you’ll have a good idea of the things that I look at. We haven’t yet found an actual diamond in Moon rocks but there are pyroxenes, apatites, olivines, plagioclases and lots more. Have a look at Google for some great images of these : -)
