I think humans can live on Mars but not like we live on Earth. We would need spacesuits when we were outside, as it is very cold and the air isn’t breathable. And because there is less atmosphere around the planet to protect us from radiation from outer space, humans would need to be protected by space suits when they were outside and by their houses when they were inside. We would need to live inside houses that were sealed tight to keep in the air so we can breathe and keep it is warm enough. Growing food would be hard at first, as we would need to bring soil to grow it in to start with and our own seeds. But astronauts already grow things on the space station, so we could grow food on Mars, too. The good news there is lots of water around, as there seem to be a lot of glaciers covered by soil and also water ice in craters and holes. So we could use that to make water to drink and to make oxygen to breathe. So it would be tough to start with but I think it would be worth it to have a chance to live on another planet. I’d definitely go! 🙂
